Payments & Installments
We recommend enabling Shopify Payments, PayPal, and eligible installment options before paid traffic begins. Payment providers and financing products must be activated from Shopify Admin because they require merchant verification and account approval.
Manual setup path
- Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Payments.
- Activate Shopify Payments and complete business verification.
- Activate PayPal as a trust-building secondary payment method.
- If eligible, go to Shopify Payments settings, enable Shop Pay, then enable Shop Pay Installments.
- For Klarna or Afterpay, install the provider from Shopify App Store and complete provider onboarding before advertising BNPL messaging.
